Tyler Barham Moves on to Nash Next Top 10 

BIG MACHINE LABEL GROUP Founder/CEO SCOTT BORCHETTA has signed on to mentor contestants during the final challenge round of CUMULUS' "NASH NEXT" competition. "NASH NEXT," which launched in JUNE (NET NEWS 6/15), is a multi-media, multi-platform competition in search of promising Country artists (NET NEWS 5/18). "The 'NASH NEXT' platform's first season has attracted some great new talent, and I'm very excited to see how the contestants step up to the charge of creating a game-changing video concept," said BORCHETTA. TODAY (10/28) marks the beginning of the final challenge, wherein the 10 finalists who have been selected to advance will begin competing in the "NASH NEXT MUSIC VIDEO CHALLENGE." Each artist will produce an original music video incorporating computer animation or motion design under BORCHETTA's mentorship. The winner is slated to be announced MONDAY, DECEMBER 7th and will be signed to the new NASH NEXT record label. Country Artist Tyler Barham Joins Oscar-Winner J.K. Simmons as Panelist for Montana's "Paint the State"  

NASHVILLE, TN (July 1, 2015) -- Rising Country artist, Tyler Barham, has been announced as a celebrity panelist for Montana Meth Project's Paint the State.


Barham will join Oscar-winner J.K. Simmons, artist Larry Pirnie and photographer Mark Mesenko as celebrity panelists who will select three "Celebrity Artists Award" winners of Paint the State. The panel will choose the top submission from each of the following categories: Video, Outdoor/Sculpture, and Artwork/Photography.


Paint the State encourages the public to submit art projects that portray the dangers of Meth. During the 2006 and 2010 contests, teens all over Montana created more than 1,000 works of art for Paint the State.


Barham said he remembers learning about Paint the State when he was in junior high school. "Seeing the devastating effects it has on people's lives and families crushes me." Barham said he opted to join the panel out of his love for Montana. "I don't want to see Meth rob any more teens from pursuing their dreams."


In addition to the three $7,500 Celebrity Artists Awards, the general public will vote online for three $2,500 People's Choice Award-winners in each category for a total prize of up to $10,000.


Registration is open for individuals age 12 or older, or teams of four. One submission per person or team is allowed. Artwork must be clearly visible to the public from July 16 - September 15, whether online or in a public location. The submission period ends July 15, and voting begins August 1. YouTube Favorite Tyler Barham Releases Latest Single “Just Two Kids” 

YouTube favorite, Tyler Barham, has released his newest single, “Just Two Kids.” The song is available to radio programmers on CDX Vol. 614, and digitally via CDX InstaTracks and Play MPE. It is also available for purchase at iTunes and other digital retailers.“Just Two Kids” by Billboard’s “One To Watch” Barham, is the follow-up to his recent chart success with “More Than A Cotton Dress” and is the top-selling track from Barham’s Don’t Cage This Heart EP, which debuted at #19 on Billboard’s Heatseeker Album Chart for all genres.

Barham says, “I’m so thankful that George Ducas and Arlis Albritton let me record ‘Just Two Kids.’ When I first heard it I fell in love with the story and pictures the song painted and I knew I wanted to record it. I grew up in the small town of Florence, MT and I have friends who are still living the story of this song. They started out together as kids and had no idea that a simple kiss would lead to forever.”

2015 is shaping up to be the best year yet for Barham. His extremely active social following has grown to 50,000 online fans from his combined social media sites and nearly 9 million YouTube views. His cover songs have been shared on social media by the original artists themselves, including Blake Shelton, Lady A, and Brett Eldredge. Darius Rucker and Keith Urban have also featured Barham’s covers on the pre-concert jumbotron video screens on their national tours.

All of this attention earned Barham a feature article in a recent edition of the CMA Close Up magazine, alongside The Band Perry and Joe Nichols, in a story focused on tips from artists who are maintaining successful social media platforms. Tyler Barham Signs with CMA and Featured in CMA CLOSE UP 

NASHVILLE, TN (February 3, 2015) - Rising young Country star, Tyler Barham, recently stopped by the CMA offices in Nashville to sign up for membership and pick up a copy of the latest edition of their Close Up magazine, where he is featured in a three-page spread along with The Band Perry and Joe Nichols. The story, titled "Keep It Real," focuses on social media tips from Barham and the other artists.
